The FNP9-M™, 9 x 19 mm NATO

Tomorrow’s classic
The FNP family of pistols is the newest edition of FN HERSTAL’s long-standing tradition of quality and innovation.
Thanks to an in-depth analysis of the market and technical trends as well as a responsive examination of the end user’s need, the FNP pistols have been studied to allow future developments such as chambering in different calibres, various trigger mechanisms and weapon’s size…
Utilizing modern manufacturing technologies, these polymer-framed pistols (30% lighter than steel framed pistols) offer selective ergonomic features to meet the personal needs of Law Enforcement professionals.
Comparison between SA and DA/SA mechanisms
After chambering the initial round, the pistol is ready to shoot in SA mode. This gives a much reduced SA trigger pull that enables the operator to achieve greater accuracy and reduced reaction time.
With DA/SA pistols, the hammer can be released to the decocked position by activating the decocking lever. The pistol will now operate in the DA mode (i.e. the shooter experiences a longer, more significant trigger pull effort as the hammer must be re-cocked during firing). This enables the user to carry the weapon with a round safely chambered, as it may only be fired with a deliberate pull of the trigger.
Technical innovations for an everlasting lifetime
1. Inserted cradle
Made of rugged, high grade steel, it can be replaced without sacrificing the pistol frame or change the weapon’s serial number located on the frame
2. Self-contained Hammer group housing
The interchangeability of sub-assemblies simplifies maintenance and armourer’s work.

State-of-the-art classical features
External hammer
Provides both visual and tactile feedback by allowing the user to see (or feel) the condition of the weapon

Upwards manual safety

One size fits all
The FNP9-M™ is an optimal balance of size and capacity. It carries a 15-round magazine capacity that provides ample firepower for the Law Enforcement professional.
Additionally, the pistol can be selectively modified for personal preferences.
Each pistol comes with a set of backstraps to allow for ergonomic differences.
Its size lends itself to applications for both duty and concealed carry applications, which simplifies training
