About the pistol
- a simple blow-back action (no locked breech - recoil spring takes over the gas pressure);
- the barrel is fastened to the frame, above it is a moving slide which contains the recoil spring (which also operates the striker);
- manual safety (on its left side);
- sights are fixed;
- first mass produced pocket pistol in the history of guns;
- 7,65×17 mm cartridge (.32 ACP) designed by Browning;
- recoil spring is placed above the barrel;
- it’s known to have been carried as a private weapon by a French infantry officer during the Algerian Insurrection of 1954 - 62.
